7-day post-launch checklist

Congratulations, your entries are open! Interest is at its highest in the first week, so a little focused effort now builds momentum for your whole campaign.

Here's one task a day to make the most of it.

This guide follows on from 7-day pre-launch checklist.

Day 1: Announce your launch

Goal: make sure everyone who might enter knows they can.

  • Create a tracking link for each email, social post and partner, so you can see what brings in entries.

  • Email your past participants first, leading with what's new and your early bird deadline.

  • Post your launch on social media with your best photo and a clear entry link, then pin it.

  • Check your event is live on partner sites such as Find a Race and TimeOutdoors.

  • Ask your partners and ambassadors to share it.

Day 2: Check your first entries

Goal: catch small problems while only a few people are affected.

  • Look through your first entries in All Signups.

  • Check you're collecting the information you need and answers come through as expected.

  • Look for anyone who chose the wrong race or add-on.

  • Fix the entry form straight away if anything looks odd.

  • Check abandoned cart reminders are on, so you win back unfinished entries.

Day 3: Make your marketing more targeted

Goal: get more value from your existing database.

  • Promote your event to people who took part in similar events.

  • Give lapsed customers a reason to return, such as a discount code.

  • Plan regular emails around launches, early bird deadlines and closing dates.

Day 4: Answer what people are asking

Goal: fill the gaps on your event page so you answer each question once.

  • Check your Inbox and AI Insights for the most common questions.

  • Add the answers to your FAQs, so participants and your AI Support Agent can find them.

  • Update your event description if anything important isn't clear.

Day 5: Share fresh reasons to enter

Goal: keep your event in people's feeds after the launch buzz.

  • Plan a piece of content every week or two: a medal reveal, route highlight, participant story or training tip.

  • Post these as news articles on your website, if you use the Website Builder.

  • Plan an early bird countdown for the final week, such as "Only 3 days left to save £5!"

Day 6: Welcome new entrants and get them sharing

Goal: turn your newest, most excited entrants into promoters.

  • Send new entrants a short update with key dates, training tips or a link to your community group.

  • Check your referral scheme is switched on, then remind entrants they can invite friends with their personal link.

  • Invite your most enthusiastic entrants to become ambassadors.

Day 7: Review and plan ahead

Goal: build a repeatable way to attract new and returning entrants.

  • Review your tracking links and email results to see which channels brought in entries.

  • Check which events and customer groups responded best.

  • Plan your next email campaign and do more of what worked.

Keep the momentum going

Entries naturally slow after launch week. Keep sharing fresh content, remind people before each deadline, and check your tracking links every week or two. For more ideas, see My First Event Is Ready to Go Live – What Should I Do Next? Need a hand? Message our support team using the chat icon
