Whether you choose to manage deferrals yourself or allow participants to self-serve, Eventrac provides a flexible way to support your event policy.
Note that you need to create the future editions of your tickets if you are allowing people to move. The future edition doesn’t need to be open for entries to the general public.
Manual Deferrals
If you prefer to manage deferrals yourself, you can move participants to a future event once you've created the new event edition.
To help with reporting, we recommend adding a note such as "Deferred" when moving the participant. This note will be included in your participant exports, making it easy to identify deferred entries later.

Allow Participants to Self-Manage
If your event policy allows it, participants can manage their own deferrals using the Race Change functionality.
This gives participants the flexibility to move their entry to an eligible future event without requiring manual assistance from your team.
Before enabling this feature, ensure your race change settings reflect your deferral policy and any applicable deadlines.
