Logging in as a User

In some cases, a participant may report an issue that is difficult to diagnose from an organiser’s view alone. To help resolve these situations quickly, account administrators have the ability to "log in as a participant."

This feature allows you to view the system exactly as the participant sees it, making it easier to troubleshoot issues, verify bookings, and understand any user-reported problems.

The "Login as User" feature allows you to view the platform from a participant's perspective. This can be particularly useful when a participant reports an issue or has a question about their booking, as it enables you to quickly verify exactly what they can see in their account.

When to use this feature

“Login as User” is particularly useful when:

  • You need to confirm what the participant can currently see in the system

  • You need to verify registration details from their perspective

  • You are troubleshooting a reported issue or error

How to log in as a user

Follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the “Sign Ups” section of the relevant event

  2. Locate the participant you want to view

  3. Click Manage next to their record

  4. From the right hand menu, select “Login as User”

  5. A pop-up window will appear containing a secure login link.

You will be logged in as the participant and will see their account exactly as they do, including any upcoming bookings and event entries

Accessing the participant view

Once you have generated the login link:

  1. Open a new Incognito/Private Browsing window in your browser.

  2. Paste the secure login link into the browser address bar and press Enter.

  3. You will be taken directly into the participant’s booking view

From here, you can:

  • Review their registration details

  • Check event or booking information

  • Perform actions on their behalf if required

Important

  • Always open the login link in an Incognito or Private Browsing window to avoid affecting your own session.

  • The participant's account is displayed exactly as they would see it, allowing you to accurately reproduce and investigate issues.
