You can use them to:

  • Conduct market research (e.g., “Where did you hear about this event?”)

  • Collect operational details (e.g., “Do you require parking?”)

  • Request race-specific info (e.g., estimated finish times for bib allocation)

➕ Adding Questions

  1. Click on any question type to add it to the form builder (left-hand side).

  2. Reorder blocks by dragging from the top of each block.

🔲 Question Types

  • Text Field → Short free-text response.

  • Select (Drop-down) → Choose one option from a list.

  • Text Area → Longer free-text response.

  • Date Field → Date entry in DD/MM/YYYY format.

  • Number → Numeric input only.

  • Radio Group → Select one option from multiple choices.

  • Paragraph → Informational text only (no response required).

⚙️ Block Options

  • Required → Mark response as compulsory (shown with an asterisk).

  • Label → The text/question shown to participants.

  • Help Text → Extra guidance displayed beneath the question.

  • Team Question → Apply only to team entries (one response per team).

  • Content → For Paragraph blocks only; add descriptive text.

  • Waiver → For Paragraph or Checkbox Group; adds legal/consent text or a mandatory tick box.

  • Options → For Select and Radio Group blocks; add, remove, or edit options.

Editing a Custom Question

  1. Once added, each question block can be:

    • Edited → Click “Edit” to expand/update details; click again to collapse

    • Copied → To replicate an existing custom question

    • Remove → Click the “X” to delete a custom question

🌟 Best Practices

  • Keep questions short and clear to avoid confusing participants.

  • Only mark questions as Required if absolutely necessary (too many can frustrate users).

  • Use Help Text for extra context instead of long labels.

  • Place important questions early in the form where participants are more attentive.

  • Test your form by previewing it as a participant before publishing.

✅ With custom questions, you can tailor entry forms to your event’s needs, improve planning, and collect the right data up front.
