Collect reviews from your participants and display them on your landing pages

Building a collection of reviews for your event is a great way to add confidence to new prospects. Reviews not only help you understand what you did well, what you can do better etc.. but can also act as a great sales tool.

Research suggests that you can achieve a 35% increase in clickthrough rates when showing reviews to prospects

Eventrac offers two primary ways to collect reviews. Either internally using the Eventrac platform, or by linking your RaceCheck account.

A bonus of publishing reviews to your event landing page is that you will automatically benefit from Google Structured Data which can help increase click-throughs from Google


Enabling your event to ask for reviews

  1. Navigate to the Event you wish to enable reviews for.

  2. Click the "Reviews" tab in the event menu bar

  3. Toggle "Enable Reviews". If it reads "Enabled" then your reviews are enabled and will send after the race date.

    NOTE: You can configure when these emails are sent on a per Race basis (see point 4 below)

  4. If you wish to disable reviews for a given Race or adjust the time delay settings for when review emails are sent, simply adjust the "Review Request Settings"

    NOTE: The time delay is in hours. Setting this to 6 hours for example, will send review emails 6 hours after the date (or end date if you have set one) or the Race.


Customing the review request email

As with every email sent to your participants, it can be customised to your spec (branding and content).

To customise the review email:

  1. navigate to "Setup" in the event menu bar and then click "Emails" in the sub-navigation bar

  2. Find the email with the name: "Sent to a participant to ask them to review an occasion" and click edit

  3. Follow our guide on customising emails


Viewing, Publishing and Responding to Reviews

After you have configured your event to collect reviews you should start to see reviews appear on your dashboard.

To view reviews:

  1. Click "Reviews" tab in the event menu bar

  2. Click either "Pending" on the sub-navigation bar, or click the text showing the number of pending reviews

  3. All pending reviews are unpublished by default. If you wish to publish your reviews, simply click. "Approve Review"

  4. If you wish to respond to a review, simply click "Add/edit comment". NOTE: For the reviewer to read your comment, the review must be published


Viewing Published Reviews on a Landing Page

Once you have collected and published any event reviews, they are then visible on your event landing page.
