Adding Meta and Google Tags to your Eventrac Landing Pages

Meta tags help search engines understand your website, making it easier for participants to find your events

Written by Angus Williams

This article explains how to add site meta tags your event website/landing pages.

Follow the steps below to optimise your website for both discoverability and data-driven decision-making.

Adding Site Meta Tags

Go to Website Builder → Meta Tags + Tracking → Site Meta Tags

Site Meta Tags

  • Meta Title - Typically your company name

  • Meta Description - A brief introduction to your events

  • Meta Keywords - Add any key words related to your event, separated by a comma

Analytics & Tracking

  • Google Analytics - a unique snippet of JavaScript or an ID string that acts as a digital handshake, sending anonymous visitor activity from your website to your analytics dashboard to map the user journey

  • Facebook Pixel - A snippet of JavaScript code you paste into your website's header that acts as an invisible observer to track user journeys, measure conversions, and build audiences

  • Google Tag Manager - an invisible JavaScript and HTML container placed into your website's source code. It acts as a central hub for all your analytics, allowing you to manage and update tracking rules without directly changing your web pages

  • Google Site Verification - A short HTML meta tag you paste into your website's header to prove ownership, enabling you to securely link your site to Google Search Console and track user journeys.
