Removing Tickets from a Participant’s Basket

Sometimes tickets can get stuck in a participant’s basket if they begin registration but don’t complete checkout. This might prevent them from entering and could prevent others from registering and make your event appear full.

By setting a basket time limit, tickets are automatically removed after a set timeframe. If you don’t have a limit set, you may need to remove tickets manually.

📍 Where to locate the basket limit

Event > Races > Ordering Options

⏱ Adding a Basket Limit

  1. Click Set a Time Limit (measured in minutes).

  2. Enter your preferred limit (e.g. 1440 minutes = 1 day).

  3. Save your changes.

👉 Tip: Setting a basket limit ensures tickets don’t stay locked in unfinished registrations.

❌ Removing Tickets from a Basket

  • If the participant has a user account

    • Go to the Customers menu.

    • Search for their account.

    • Remove tickets from the Invoices tab.

  • If the participant does not have a user account

    • Only an eventrac senior administrator can remove tickets.

    • Contact Tech Support for assistance.

⚠️ If Your Event Appears Full but Still Has Capacity

If your event shows as closed or on a waiting list while capacity remains, it’s likely due to tickets held in baskets without a time limit.

To fix this:

  1. Close the event.

  2. Reopen it.

  3. The system will clear all baskets, and availability will refresh.

✅ Using basket limits and knowing how to remove tickets ensures fair access and accurate capacity management for your events.
