What Are Multi-Buy Discounts

Multi-buy discounts allow you to offer incentives to people to either enter more than one event/race or to book multiple tickets in one go for their friends by providing automatic discounts for the more tickets they buy.

You can customise what events/races are included in the multi-buy offer to fine-tune it. For example, you might say if you buy 5 tickets to the same event, the ticket buyer gets a 10% discount per ticket, or maybe if you buy any 3 events in one go, you get 15% off each ticket.

Multi-buy discounts serve as a potent promotional tool when trying to encourage people to buy more tickets

Where to Find Multi-Buy Discounts

Dashboard > Promotions > Multi-Buy Discounts

Creating a Multi-Buy Discount

  1. Name – Displayed to participants.

  2. Expiry Date – Last valid day for the offer. This is useful if you want to time-limit the multi-buy discount

  3. Activation Date – Schedule when it goes live (optional). - This is useful if you want to time-limit the multi-buy discount

  4. Description – Short, catchy text like “Book 5 spots, get 10% off!”

  5. Select Events – Apply to specific events or all events. Select which events the multi-buy discount applies to. To enforce all tickets are for the same event, simply select only that event

Applying Discount Rules

These are the automatic discounts that the system will apply based on the number of tickets someone buys

Note: All tickets must be purchased in the same transaction for the discount to apply

  • Number of Bookings: How many entries are needed to qualify (e.g., 5 bookings = 10% off per ticket).

Note: The discount can either be absolute or percentage-based. In both cases, this will apply to each ticket, NOT the entire basket value.

For example, if give £5 off when someone buys 5 tickets. This would give a total of £5 x 5 i.e. £25 off the basket value (£5 off each ticket)

  • Adjustment Type: Percentage (i.e. 10%) or fixed amount (i.e. £5).

  • Add New Rule: Add multiple tiers:

👀 How Participants See It

When a participant adds their first booking:

  • Pop-up shows the multi-buy offer.

  • Example: “Add 4 more spots to get 10% off!”
